Beypazari has always been a living area because of its strategic geopolitical position in the times of Hitit, Frig, Luwi, Galat, Rome, Byzantine, Seljuq Empire and Ottoman Empire. Beypazari has been on the ancient trade roads for centuries and therefore one of the most important centers of Anatolia.
The caves in the 'Inozu' valley which have been used as living areas
by people during prehistorical ages have been than used as harbours by
christians who were evading from the persecution of Roman Empire. Today these
caves are places which you can visit after a difficult walk and enjoy the scene
through the night, with its beautiful lighting. The definite place of the city Anastasipolis, which has been an
important episcopacy center in this region could not be discovered yet.
However, Beypazari is offering many choices to its visitors by small ruins which can be seen near the city. The caves left from Luwis (B.C. 1200) are waiting for their visitors today.
