Beypazari is an open-air Museum with its living culture of its historical Turkish houses, tarditional cuisine and handicraft products.

The bazaar of Beypazari is as interesting as its historical Turkish Houses. The streets of the bazaar were separated according to the subject of handicraft productions in the past. You are now able to see all kinds of production in the streets. You can enjoy the opportunity to see the coppersmiths, tinsmiths, quilt coverers, weavers, packsaddle makers, ‘kuru’ and ‘guvech’ bakehouses at the same time.

You are able to find any historical and traditional item in the bazaar. You can taste and buy the Turkish Delight of carrot, ‘Walnut Suchuk’, ‘Kuru’ and ‘Kesh Cheese’ in this bazaar. You can also see the silver filigree handicraft which is called ‘Telkari’ and has become the symbol of Beypazari and its handicraft products.

You can enjoy the scene of the silver strings while they are turning into a filigree jewellery item in the hands of a silver filigree workman. You can see a lot of workmen who have inherited the ability of producing silver filigree items from their grandfathers and fathers for centuries. You can buy these handicraft products to know that you are buying something which will last for years and become an antique object for your children.

Beypazari is waiting for you to explore the historical architecture of its ‘white houses’, unforgettable tastes coming out from its kitchens and the sophisticated handicraft ‘Telkari’.
